He won’t be going anywhere for a while.
Joseph Trischitta, a former community affairs officer for the 68th Precinct, has been sentenced to 40 months in a federal prison for his role in a gun-running scheme led by another former cop at the Bay Ridge stationhouse.
Trischitta, who is retired from the New York Police Department, pleaded guilty and was sentenced on Aug. 9 to 40 months in prison for taking part in a scheme involving the illegal interstate transport of firearms and stolen good across state lines, according to Preet Bharara, the United States attorney for the Southern District of New York. read more
