It’s Dinner Theater With a Murderous Twist!

It’s a delicious dinner theater production!

A leading theater group is teaming up with a book store and restaurant owners to present a unique dinner theater experience for audiences looking for a night of “murderous” fun.

There’s a tribute to “I Love Lucy” thrown in for good measure.

Jeff Samaha Theater Productions/Ridge Chorale and The BookMark Shoppe, in a association with Request Entertainment, Cebu and Gold Coast restaurants, and Capri Nightclub, will present “Trouble at the Tropicabana,” an audience-participation murder mystery with lots of laughs, at Capri Nightclub, 437 88th St., on Friday, April 27, at 7 p.m. read more »

Kids To Perform ‘Snow Queen’

Students in the Christ Church After School Program will be performing Hans Christian Andersen’s beloved tale The Snow Queen on Fridays, March 16 and 23, at Christ Church Bay Ridge, 7301 Ridge Boulevard, beginning at 6 p.m.

The performance is geared for children of all ages and features children ages 5 through 12 as its actors. The production celebrates the music and traditions of the Sami (Laplanders), Romani (gypsy) and Ukrainian cultures. Original music will be performed by the children. The show is directed by Victoria Hofmo, with musical direction by Jen Baker, sets and costume design by Krystle Pietrafesa, and assistants Judy Pietrafesa and Michael Hetteix.

Go, Grease Lightning …

The Visual & Performing Arts Department of McKinley I.S. 259 presents Grease this weekend, March 9 at 7 p.m., and March 10 at 1 p.m. Always a smash hit, these talented performers promise to have audiences dancing in the aisles.
