Killer Continues

Bay Ridge – The family of murdered Valentino Fashion owner Mohamed Gebeli paid an emotional visit to the Fifth Avenue storefront in which he was killed. It was the family’s first visit to the scene since the July 6 slaying.
The family gathered outside the shop, at 7718 Fifth Ave., on Friday, July 29, for a press conference held by state Sen. Marty Golden at which he and business leader Habib Joudeh renewed their call for information that might lead to the killer’s capture. read more »

Cops Continue Search For Merchant’s Killer

Bay Ridge — Police are asking for the public’s help in the investigation into the July 6 slaying of a Fifth Avenue clothing store owner.
Posters containing a picture of victim Mohamed Gebeli popped up on lampposts along Fifth Avenue, near Valentino Fashion, the men’s clothing store he owned at 7718 Fifth Ave. in which he met his death at the hands of a killer.
At press time, police had not made an arrest. No suspects have been named in the slaying. read more »

Cops Continue Search for Killer

Bay Ridge — As the Eagle first reported, police are continuing their search for the killer who shot a clothing store owner to death inside his Fifth Avenue shop on the night of July 6, a slaying that alarmed the business and residential communities of Bay Ridge.
The victim, Mohamed Gebeli, 65, was shot once in the neck inside his shop, Valentino Fashion, a men’s clothing store at 7718 Fifth Ave., police said.
At press time, police had no suspects and no motive in the slaying. read more »
