Top St. Pat’s Grad Headed to Fontbonne

Amanda Larney graduated at the top of her class at St. Patrick School.

Amanda Larney, the valedictorian of Saint Patrick School, won a full scholarship to Fontbonne Hall Academy and will enter the prestigious girls’ Catholic high school in the fall.
Amanda was a busy young woman during her years at St. Patrick, particularly in her senior year, when she worked on the yearbook staff and put together the slideshow for the graduation ceremony. The slideshow always features pictures of the graduates during their years at the school set to a musical score.
Amanda was a member of the Student Council, the National Junior Honor Society, and the Aquinas Club, a group for academic achievers. She enjoyed being in the Aquinas Club, she said.
“We would do projects during the year. It was a lot of fun,” she said.
Amanda is already looking ahead to college. She hasn’t selected a university yet. After all, it’s still four years away. But she has given a great deal of thought to a career. read more »
