Bay Ridge — Fresh from a tour of duty in the Middle East, Col. Eluyn Ginés has arrived in Bay Ridge to become the new commander of the Fort Hamilton Army Base.
The official “Change of Command” ceremony, signifying the installation of Ginés as the leader of the fort, took place inside the military base, on a bluff overlooking New York Harbor, Wednesday morning.
Ginés served two tours of duty in Iraq. Prior to his assignment at Fort Hamilton, he served at the U.S. Army Central Command in Kuwait. read more
