Talk about a love connection! Twenty-two dogs and cats in need of loving homes found them at Love Wanted’s Lovey Dovey Adoption Event held Saturday, Feb. 18, in Bay Ridge.
That brought the group’s impressive total number of adoptions to more than 1,650.
Hosted once again by Trinity Lutheran Church, 9020 Third Ave., the event also served as a food drive for Reaching-Out Community Services, Operation Food Bowl and The Salvation Army.
Representatives at Food Dynasty Supermarket stopped by with a generous donation of pet food, according to Love Wanted founder Mary Jo Tobin, who added that she was thrilled to have Reaching-Out Director Thomas Neve there to see their generosity first-hand.
At the group’s last event, held Dec. 17 at the church, 31 lucky animals found permanent homes.
